Five people accused of defrauding insurance

Five people have appeared in court accused of conspiracy to defraud an insurance company following a car crash five years ago.

Caroline Catley, aged 32, and David Sleigh, aged 44, both of Moorside Avenue, Farnworth, have admitted conspiracy to defraud.

Musharaf Dean, aged 30, and Rehana Dean, aged 29, both of Baysdale Avenue, Deane; and Luqman Patel, aged 27, of Sunninghill Street, Daubhill, have denied the charged.

At Bolton Crown Court today, they were remanded on bail until March 28 when a pre-trial review will be held.
